A huge amount of activity is going on here at Scorpio Shoes as all the new spring and summer styles are beginning to arrive and our warehouse is starting to look like last summer’s shorts after Christmas indulgences – bursting at the seams! After an often gloomy January and February, it’s great to start thinking about Easter breaks, spring days, the wedding season and of course summer holidays as we liven up our lives and our shops with sandals and bright new clothes instead of the ubiquitous black, warm boots and woolly scarves. Trying on something new is never a chore for us and as new styles arrive in our warehouse, our great teams can’t wait to unwrap the boxes and get them on their feet – the shoes that is, not the boxes!

Sometimes to buy for themselves but also so they can advise customers on fit and how they feel. Quite often the ugly duckling shoe turns into a beautiful swan when they are on your feet so our advice would be to try them on if you like the colour but aren’t sure of the style.  Different styles suite different shaped feet and legs and different brands can have their own unique fit so have fun and keep trying on until you find the best fit and style for you.

Once the first flush of excitement drooling over our new stock is done,  instead of taking the time to plan what we are going to take away on our jollies, we have to start thinking about those winter months again.  The last few weeks have been busied with trade shows and agents visits – yes, that does mean we have had a sneaky peak into what is coming and what’s set to be hot for next autumn and winter!  Our bi-annual visit from Dr Martens  has just happened and so we now know what delights are on their way to us from them later this year – look out for some really interesting and bold designs around September.  We’d just love to ‘show and tell’ but then we’d have to kill you, as the saying goes.

Wrangler’s new boots are great too with something for all tastes with soft, supple leathers and suede/leather mixes. There are more to see and we are putting our very best foot forward to find you fantastic styles and new brands to love this winter.
